《远了，更远》是一件单屏影像作品，影像内容为迷雾中的荷兰景观，而画外音是一段用阿拉伯语讲述的一封家信。信件作者是一位刚刚来到荷兰的中东难民，这封信写给他仍然生活在家乡的母亲，信中提及了他在荷兰的所见所闻，言辞中夹杂着异文化遭遇以及由此产生的乡愁情绪。马海蛟在这件作品中掺杂了个人的感性成分，“美好事物所带来的危机感”，“乡愁情绪的由来”以及“对于自由的理解”等诸多问题都成为当今全球格局背景下的个人思考，作者即把其个人对于这些问题的思考转换成了诗意的影像表现。
Message to the Future is a single-screenvideo work displaying the mist scenes in Netherlands. The voiceover of it is afamily letter in Arabic. A middle-east refugee who just came to the Netherlandswrote what he saw and heard in Netherlands to his mother. Nostalgia is incisedin the letter with the crush of his new foreign life. Haijiao mixes his emotioninto the artwork. "The Crisis awareness by the wonderful things","The way nostalgia dominate our mind", "The understanding offreedom »... all these questions come to every individual under thebackground of globalization while the creator transforms them into poeticimages.

Tabula Rasa 画廊致力于推广中国本土和国际的当代艺术家，2015 年5月成立于北京 798 艺术区，是一个展览和推广当代艺术的空间，定期举办艺术家讲座、讨论会，并支持出版和研究项目。 我们的名字 Tabula Rasa 源于拉丁语，指被书写的石板在擦拭磨白后重新开始的状态。今天 tabula rasa 同时被广泛地运用在西方哲学领域，特指理论上人在没有接受感官和经验影响之前最朴质的空白状态。我们希望画廊呈现的展览能颠覆观众之前的观看经验，为新的 艺术实验提供可能性。
Tabula Rasa Gallery is based in Beijing's 798 art district. Established in 2015, it aims to promote both Chinese and international contemporary artists through exhibitions, talks, research and publication. The gallery's name refers to the philosophical idea that when we are born, our minds are like a blank slate. We hope the exhibition Tabula Rasa presents can subvert viewer's preconceptions, creating conditions for fresh artistic experiments.
